We've had the privilege of interacting with Vidhu for 9 years. We've cooked and tasted most of her recipes and believe us, she's a magician. Buy the book; make those dishes and you'll enjoy each one of them.

Anu and I are vegetarians, living is Washington DC. We enjoy cooking and eating variety of home-style vegetarian food. This book has significantly changed our life style. Earlier we were cooking and eating say 25 dishes. Now, using Mrs. Mittal's recipes, we are able to enjoy hundreds of delicious vegetarian dishes. Maaza aa gaya. Zindagi badal gayi.

Your new cook book: Pure & Simple is fantastic! Since we received it about a week and a half ago, we have been almost exclusively cooking from your recipes. Some of our favorites are Aloo Pakodi and Aloo Gobi (clearly my wife and I like potatos!). The recipes are easy to follow, they are clearly articulated and the footnotes at the bottom of the page offer teriffic little facts!

I loved the way you have written your recipes. Nita Mehta and Tarla Dalal or Sanjeev Kapoor's books are not half as impressive as yours!

I decided to open this book last weekend hoping to spend a few minutes to find two things to make for friends coming home. Those "few minutes" stretched to two hours as I drooled over the recipes and agonized over all the choices. I eventually picked three and they were truly pure and simple but absolutely delicious! My friends have pledged to buy this book and we have resolved to try each and every recipe in this book! Look forward to that!!
